There is nothing more magical then connecting or being able to watch a majestic humpback whale or spot so many different species of birds in their own habitat. Visit any of these six places for a once in afetime experience with animals in their own environment. Bahamas: Dolphins Bahamas is one of the places to have your luxury vacation villa to watch or dive with dolphins. The ongoing presence of Atlantic Spotted wild dolphins near Bimi Island gives you the opportunity to see and connect with them in their environment under their terms. For reasons unknown to us, the Atlantic Spotted dolphin seems to seek out human interaction but in captivity they cannot be trained and do not adapt to their confined environment. Bimini Island is the most popular choice for sighted tours for these playful animals. Maui: Humpback Whales Between December and April humpback whales come to Maui from Alaska to mate and birth. You can see them in the Au'au Channel between the islands of the Maui County. The whales usually travel in pods; several adults or a mother, her calf, and a couple males. This majestic mammal is an endangered species, and there are approximately 10,000 humpbacks in the North Pacific. Research shows that their population has increased at a rate of seven per cent per year. The best place to see whales is along the West Maui and Kihei-Makena coast. Mayan Riviera: Sea Turtles Sea turtle season in the Mayan Riviera runs from May to August. After sunset, you might be able to spot the seas turtles coming out of the waters to lay their eggs on the beaches. During the day you can snorkel and see these beautiful creatures swimming around in the ocean, along with french angels, trumpet fish, barracuda, surgeonfish, and cuttle fish. Costa Rica: Monkeys Welcome to the jungle. Here it will be no surprise seeing monkey's play in your luxury vacation villa pool or hearing them at night. Not only are there monkeys but Costa Rica is known for its biodiversity. A quarter of the country's land is in protected national parks. You can see big cats and tapirs in Corcovado National Park or two-thousand plant species and over four-hundred types of birds in the Monteverde Cloud Reserve. St. Barths: Sea Life This volcanic island surrounded by shallow reefs is one of the best places in the Caribbean to snorkel. Here you can spot parrotfish, angelfish, moray, sea stars and sea turtles. One of the most secluded beaches on the island is Anse de Colombier. With no roads leading to it, calming waters surrounded by a rocky peninsula, it makes for the perfect spot to snorkel. Costa Careyes: Birds Located between Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo on Mexico's Pacific coast, Costa Careyes offers over 270 bird species to watch. You can also spot whales passing through on their way to Hawaii between December and April and dolphins are always splashing around in the crisp clear waters off the coast. Animal lovers from all over can enjoy the animals in each of these vacation destinations. If you have ever wanted to swim with dolphins, bird watch or spot majestic hump back whales, vacation in these destinations.
